Hi, ran across your post, have been trying to setup, however when I add a Site to my configuration and later on try to access it via the browser I don't get anything as if the server knows nothing about the new site.

I only have a single entry in my Sites tab which is blank on port 80.

Do you have any ideas?

You're nearly there! The fact it says about the SVN filesystems means SVN is working correctly. It sounds like a permissions issue on the server. Make sure to chown -R _www your svnParentPath so that apache can read and write to it.

Even though webappctl says "STOPPED" after you attempt to start it, you should run "webappctl status -" to really check on it. I found most times the newly started web apps are running right after I start it, even though webappctl doesn't think it succeeded. You can substitute the dash with your domain name if you want to narrow down the list.

Hi, I also tried this method and all starts, but Apache tells me it cannot find any of the SVN filesystems. If I go to any of the http://server.com/svn/repo I get the authentication request, which I oblige to... But then I get the message : Could not open the requested SVN filesystem

I've found that when typing

webappctl start com.themacosxserveradmin.svn svn.example.com
service stat will always show as stopped and will add the SVN config to the domain, but

webappctl start com.themacosxserveradmin.svn
will yield the correct on and off behaviour.

There are no error messages output. If you find your service is still not starting check your config files for syntax errors and perhaps run it through apachectl configtest.

also check the webapp.plist you created for unclosed tags or closing tags that shouldn't be there. I had a bit of a hard time debugging it but i have everything working perfectly now.

We followed your instructions, but unfortunately it didn't worked out for us.

We believe the problem might be that the following files do not exist on our freshly installed Lion machine:
LoadModule dav_svn_module libexec/apache2/mod_dav_svn.so
LoadModule authz_svn_module libexec/apache2/mod_authz_svn.so

What is your opinion on that?

Another problem we encounter is that we cannot start the self created svn-webapp propperly. After trying to do so the prompt tells us web:state = "STOPPED".

We would be very gratefull if you could assist us in bringing our beloved (and hardly needed) SVN up and running on Lion again.

Im looking for a simple solution to my roaming SIP wishes on iPhone, I have a friend who has a SIP server/runs his own Telco in South Africa.

I have a login for a desktop client, but I require and have a static IP address for his firewall.

I have a mac mini server and want to set up a VPN server for my phone to log into while on the road to use the SIP server with the IP filtering so it still appears I am on the one IP/Static address on my home router...

Would this work for an iPhone on a 3G data connection while on the road around town?

Any updates on the kerfuffle? My client computers are having the same problem. Reinstalling the combo update does work, but my users are logging in and out of different machines throughout the day.
